Insight Dialogue 24.-28. 9. 2026
"Awake Together"
An Insight Dialogue Retreat
Venue: Mnichovo Hradiště (Czech Rep.)
Teachers: Ayya Anopama and Rosalie Dores

About the Retreat
In this retreat we will explore how we can be present with ourselves while in relationship with others through silent meditation and the relational meditation practice of Insight Dialogue. We will cultivate and strengthen the meditative qualities of mindfulness, investigation, concentration, and tranquility experienced in personal practice, and access them in the midst of relating with another. Resting in the immediacy of the present moment we will enquire into various aspects of the shared human experience through carefully crafted contemplation topics. Meditating together, kindness, care, compassion and liberating wisdom naturally arise.
Our practice will include periods of silent meditation and Insight Dialogue (relational meditation) in pairs and small groups. There will also be time for gentle movement and in nature. The retreat will be held in mindful silence, except for Insight Dialogue practice. Please be prepared not to use your phone or other on-line devices during the retreat to protect your practice and that of others.
The teachings will be offered in English with Czech translation and participants are asked to commit to participating for the entire retreat so we can weave a sense of community together.
The teachings and practices offered are based on the Buddha's teachings. Taking part in this offering does not, however, require an adherence to Buddhism or any adaptation of personal faith. An established meditation or mindfulness practice is needed to participate in the retreat. For more information on Insight Dialogue, please visit: https://insightdialogue.org/
This retreat will be of particular interest to mindfulness teachers wishing to hone the professional teaching skills outlined in the Embodiment and Relational domain of the MBI-TAC, as well as professionals who hold groups or work in a one-to-one context. It is also suitable for those wanting to deepen and enrich personal relationships.
This retreat will be the first Insight Dialogue retreat ever held in the Czech Republic.
About the teachers
Ayya Anopama is a Buddhist nun and meditation teacher offering teachings and retreats in Europe, Asia and the Americas. She spent several years in intensive retreat in Myanmar, where she ordained with the Venerable Pa Auk Sayadaw and trained in the Burmese Forest Tradition. For more than two decades, she has practiced with renowned teachers in the Early Buddhist, Tibetan Mahamudra, and Insight Meditation traditions in both East and West. A member of the Global Insight Dialogue Teaching Community and a student of Compassionate Inquiry (CI), she continues to explore how ancient wisdom, contemporary healing, and relational approaches can meet as doorways to inner freedom.
Rosalie Dores is an Insight Dialogue Retreat Teacher and Mindfulness Teacher and Trainer. She has practiced meditation and yoga since 1992. Her Dharma roots are within the Vipassana, Theravada, Insight Meditation traditions and Insight Dialogue. Rosalie is dedicated to offering teachings that engage at the interface between ancient wisdom and the challenges of our modern world. She recognises that Insight Dialogue addresses the urgent need for a meditative practice that incorporates the social and interpersonal domains of human experience as intrinsic to awakening. She co-teaches courses and workshops dedicated to raising awareness about climate and social justice. She teaches retreats, workshops and online programs in the UK, Europe and Asia. Rosalie is a Londoner, who now lives on the South Coast of the UK.
